The service available by EB4A has been widely used over Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya - and will be available some additional years as nynex signed an extension agreement for this 4° East positioned bird.
After the current EB4A will be retired in late September 2011 the replacement is already in position: W2M will then be repositioned from 16° East to 4° East.
All terminals active with nynex on EB4A currently will automatically stay online during the move and can stay under service the next years.
Nynex expects a high demand for that capacity as the libyan business seems to return shortly and the business in Afgniastan is still growing. Additionally one ministry network has been already ordered on this capacity.
